At first glance you may think Gran is like any other Grandma, but she's not! Along with her grandson Jim, Gran is always taking part in a different crazy adventure. One minute she'll be playing in goal for the local football team, the next she'll be riding a motorbike! But one thing's for sure - she'll always be always wearing her pink slippers! Gran was a series of 13 programmes made by Woodland Animations (the people behind Charlie Chalk, Postman Pat and Bertha). The series was first screened in 1983 and was repeated a number of times over the next several years on BBC 1. The 13 episodes of Gran are as follows - how many do you remember? Gran was animated by Ivor Wood and created by Michael Cole (of Bod, Fingerbobs and Pigeon Street fame) and his wife Joanne. The music was written and performed by Bryan Daly who also composed the famous Postman Pat theme. Castle Communications have produced a Gran video which contains 12 episodes and is currently available to buy.
